Freudenberg bids for UK technical textiles firm
German performance materials manufacturer Freudenberg has submitted an offer to acquire UK-based technical textile producer Low & Bonar.

Freudenberg’s bid is for 100% of Low & Bonar shares. It said completing this deal would allow it to “open up new areas of activity” and expand its technical expertise in spunlaid nonwovens.

London-based Low & Bonar has 1,900 employees around the world and generates sales of £350 million in 2018. It. Has 11 production facilities in Asia, Europe
