Key players host their own pavilions at Intertextile Shanghai
The autumn 2019 edition of Intertextile Shanghai opened its doors on September 25, marking the twenty-fifth anniversary of its inauguration.

Organiser Messe Frankfurt said 4,422 exhibitors were taking part at the event, which runs until September 27. State bodies, the Chinese Council for the Textile Industry and the China Textile Information Centre, co-organised the event.

In total, companies from 33 countries travelled to Shanghai to take part. Messe Frankfurt said the corresponding show last autumn attracted 78,131 visitors from 103 countries.

As at previous editions, the Functional Lab zone at this Intertextile Shanghai provided a dedicated space for performance textiles. Major groups including Lycra, Hyosung and Lenzing brought partners and suppliers with them to form their own pavilions; Lenzing’s had 37 different exhibitors. The Taiwan Textile Federation also had a pavilion as part of the Functional Lab.
