Bella-Dura performance textiles launches first residential line
After years serving hospitality and other commercial arenas, performance textile brand Bella-Dura is unveiling a line of residential fabrics.
The brand’s technical fabrics are woven using a polyolefin fibre for durable, bleach cleanable and recyclable contract-grade textiles; the Bella-Dura Home line will feature blends, materials and colours (including 50 new patterns in multiple colour ways) specially created for residential interior and exterior environments.
“The needs of the residential market are slightly different from those in contract, said Greg Thomases, vice president of Bella-Dura parent company Swavelle, “and this line caters to the ultimate indoor/outdoor performance for residential”.
According to the company, this translates to patterns exceeding a minimum of 30k double rubs, pill resistance, stain resistance, fade resistance and bleach cleanability.
Bella-Dura Home was created under the design direction of Sarah Keelen, Swavelle director of design for outdoor and performance. After being partially introduced at the recent Casual Market Chicago, the complete collection will launch in November at ITA Showtime in High Point, North Carolina.
