Footwear-specific foam solution launched by Sabic

Saudia Arabia-based chemicals group Sabic has launched a dedicated polyolefin elastomer foam solution designed for both athletic and casual footwear. The company, which is the third largest chemicals company in the world, is in talks with potential partners for the foam solutions
Describing Sabic as the first to provide a tailored foamed solution for the midsole and insole market, Frank de Vries, director of Sabic global foam and lightweight, said: “We are keen to speak with leading brand owners and their value chain partners such as sole producers on how to move forward and work on new innovation developments together.”
According to the company, the materials – Fortify C11075DF and FORTIFY C05075DF – can be selectively used for most foaming process, from compression molding to injection molding.
