Dye-sublimation printer capable of fluorescent inks on textiles
Epson America has released two new 64-inch dye-sublimation printers, designed for high image quality on roll-to-roll textile, home décor, promotional product and soft signage markets. One of the models, the SureColor F9470H, has the option of printing with yellow and pink fluorescent inks, which may be particularly useful for sportswear and workwear.
Tim Check, senior product manager of professional imaging for Epson America, says the company will continue to innovate in the dye-sublimation space. “We predict the digital textile market will continue to expand for years to come,” he said. Fluorescent ink capabilities work to “further expand bold colour applications, creating eye-catching output and providing greater versatility for customers".
