Will Smith-Keisuke Honda firm attracts investment from ASICS

ASICS Ventures, an investment subsidiary of the Japanese sports brand, has taken an equity stake in a venture capital fund called Dreamers Fund.

Dreamers Fund was established last year with the aim of investing primarily in early-stage start-ups in the US. An investment company held by actor Will Smith and a company managed by former Japan national football team midfielder Keisuke Honda are the co-founders of Dreamers Fund.

It sees its mission as providing a bridge between Japan and the US.

Keisuke Honda played almost 100 matches for Japan, scoring 37 international goals. Clubs he played for include CSKA Moscow and AC Milan.
