Former Haglöfs CEO set to lead Asics EMEA
Former CEO of outerwear brand Haglöfs, Carsten Unbehaun (pictured), will begin his role as CEO of Asics EMEA on January 1, 2020. At the same time, Masashi Abe will become executive vice president of Asics EMEA. 

Mr Unbehaun has been leading Asics EMEA since late November, when Alistair Cameron announced his departure after serving 10 years with the company.

Since joining Asics in 2002, Mr Unbehaun has held a variety of roles in the Japanese sports brand. He took on the role as CEO of Haglöfs, which is owned by Asics, in 2018. 

Mr Abe joined the company in 2001. The new role moves him to from Asics Headquarters in Kobe, Japan, to Europe.
