Urban cycling surge inspires overcoat
Dutch clothing brand Senscommon has developed a product called the all-commute overcoat.
It describes the garment as lightweight, breathable and adjustable and ideally suited to urban commuting by bike. It said cycling in cities has “surged in popularity” as people seek a safe, independent means of transport to avoid health risks.
The overcoat is seam-taped, and made from a soft, waterproof, all matte-black material. Features include lower-body protection by snapping the coat around legs, special fit sleeves to make it more comfortable to lean forward while cycling and a hood designed to stay in place while giving maximum visibility.
