Functional textile manufacturer Trans-Textil has worked with materials developer Covestro on a range of coated synthetic textiles that the companies say is “highly breathable”.

Based on purely aqueous and solvent-free formula components from Covestro, the new range, Aquair, has a microporous structure permeable to water vapour.

Trans-Textil managing director, Matthias Krings, said Aquair can provide “the greatest possible comfort”. He said the range would work well in combination with other functional layers.
