Two management appointments for Lenzing

Botanic cellulose fibre producer Lenzing has made two new key appointments to its management board. 

As of March 1, Stephan Sielaff will serve as the new chief technology officer, replacing Heiko Arnold who left Lenzing late last year. 

Christian Skilich will fill a new spot on the management board for newly-created pulp and raw materials division. He’ll assume this position on June 1. 

“In the coming years our focus will be on achieving the strategic target of strongly increasing our own supply of pulp in line with our corporate strategy sCore TEN,” said Peter Edelmann, chairman of the supervisory board. Creating the new division, he added, reflects this focus.

Mr Sielaff is a chemical engineer who has held various management positions for Unilever and Symrise. Since 2014, he has worked for the Swiss specialty chemicals company Archroma as chief operating officer, where he was responsible for the integrated operational structure and the strategic development of the company. 

Christian Skilich has held various positions in the paper, packaging and glass industries.He most recently served as chief operating officer on Mondi’s board of directors, overseeing projects in the US and Europe.
