VF Corp preparing to reopen North American locations

VF Corporation has announced it is preparing a “preparing a careful and coordinated strategy for reopening some of our North American offices and owned retail stores” in areas where it can do so safely and in accordance with local requirements.

In a statement issued April 27, the group outlined what employees and consumers can expect for the near future. For North American stores that remain closed, VF Corp is further extending full pay and benefits to all retail associates in the US, Canada and Mexico through May 30.

The company is increasing pay through July for its US and Canada distribution centre
Associates, as they “continue to enable our brands and businesses to serve our consumers
and e-commerce business”.

The group is “cautiously optimistic” it says, and it will “only proceed with our re-opening plans in locations where we can ensure a safe and healthy return for our employees and consumers.”
