The North Face and Patagonia add to list of store closures

Like many major retailers, The North Face and Patagonia have decided to close most of their stores to help slow the spread of the coronavirus. Patagonia has also acknowledged that online orders will be affected during this time.

Patagonia said it has temporarily closed stores, offices and other operations in the United States, Argentina, Chile, Japan and across Europe. Australia and South Korea operations will continue on a modified work schedule, with some stores closed depending on location.

The company added that it’s working to find solutions to protect the safety of its warehouse team and hopes to have an update about online orders by March 23. “We apologize that over the next two weeks there will be delays on orders and customer-service requests,” the company said in a statement, asking for understanding and patience.

The North Face said it was closing its stores but didn’t specific locations. “We are constantly monitoring the situation,” the brand said, “and hope to reopen soon.”
