Converse releases genderless collection in just four sizes

12/03/2020
Building on founder Chuck Taylor’s original position as an inclusive and unisex shoe brand, Converse has extended the unisex approach to its first genderless apparel line. Made with 50 percent recycled cotton, the Shapes collection will have five core pieces, offered in only four sizes globally.

Converse said the collection is not designed for gender, but rather for body shape, seeing size as just a reference point.

“When starting design from a non-traditional place, there are endless opportunities to reimagine everything from construction to sizing to materials,” says Jonathan Tappan, VP of global apparel. “By bringing functionality, inclusivity and comfort to everyday clothes, we believe we can really change the game.”
