New technical outdoor brand highlights made-in-America creds

Furloh is a new direct-to-consumer hunting, fishing and outdoor brand that launched this month from its headquarters in Montana. Available online and in its flagship retail store, the brand was founded by a group of hunters and anglers who wanted to manufacture entirely in the US.

Doing so, the brand said, “not only facilitates jobs in America, it also creates a faster pipeline to bring the latest technologies in fabrics to market”. Without relying on overseas manufacturing, Furloh said it has been about to turn around products within ten weeks. 

The company said it uses a range of proprietary textile technologies to improve performance in warmth or cooling, breathability and waterproofing, adopting technologies from industries such as NASA and auto. Collections aim to incorporate layers as a system that works together, with the goal of better breathability and protection from the elements.
