Scottish investment group acquires UK outdoor brand Montane

Inverleith, which describes itself as investing in “businesses that operate within the high growth categories of health and wellness, lifestyle, drinks, luxury and heritage brands” acquired a controlling stake in the company that focused on serving hillwalkers, mountaineers, climbers and trail runners.
The investment is expected to help the company expand the distribution of its products in the UK and internationally, with an increased focus on product development.
After a period of transition, Montane managing director Jake Doxat will take on a new role as a global brand ambassador for the company. He will also remain a minority shareholder and board director.
