Havaianas collabs with Japanese brand on street sandal
Brazilian flip flop brand Havaianas is launching its first style created for the streets rather than the beach, developed with a square base, hearty rubber material, fabric strap and a brand-new design.
In launching the new range, the Brazilian brand collaborated with Japanese brand mastermind JAPAN. The collaboration is a nod to its history: Some sixty years ago, Havaianas was inspired by a Japanese sandal called the Zori, which has soles made of rice straw, to invent its iconic The Traditional sandal. To exist on the beaches of Brazil's hot climate, the sandals were made with rubber soles.
This new release is called the Tradi Zori.
