Brazil’s Olympians to have sponsored feet
Shoe brand Havaianas has signed up to sponsor Brazil’s Olympic and Paralympic teams in 2021, and the team will wear the footwear at the opening ceremony in Japan.

Roberto Funari, CEO of Alpargatas, the company that owns  Havaianas, said: “We have been part of the Brazilian way of life for almost 60 years, and we are known all over the world for representing joy, freedom and the summer spirit. Walking with the Brazilian team at the opening ceremonies make us immensely proud.”

Manoela Penna, marketing director for the Brazilian Olympic Committee, said: “The relationship with Havaianas has been innovative from the get-go, as it is the first time the feet in the opening parade are being sponsored. It shows the potential that lies ahead.”
