Recycled fibres feature strongly in Vuelta leader jerseys

Italian cycling clothing brand Santini has opted to use recycled fibres prominently in the leaders’ jerseys it has constructed for the 2020 Vuelta A España.
The race was due to take place in August but was delayed by covid-19 and will now run, in a shorter format, from October 20 to November 8.
For the fourth year running, Santini is the supplier of the leaders’ jerseys for four different classifications: red for the overall leader, green for rider with most points, blue polka dot for the mountains and white for the leading young rider.
For the first time, the Santini jerseys for the 2020 race will feature RECY fabric from Corno, which is made from recycled yarn woven from a combination of used and waste materials, and Native-Ecoknit from Sitip, which is made from recycled fibres and yarns without the use of polluting chemicals.
