Two senior appointments at Wolverine World Wide

Outdoor footwear group Wolverine World Wide announced two senior appointments at the start of the year.

It has hide the global head of digital business at Reebok, Matt Blonder, placing him in the role of Wolverine’s president of global e-commerce.

Wolverine said it had set itself “the bold goal” of achieving $500 million in global e-commerce revenue for 2021 and that Matt Blonder’s track record made him the ideal person to lead “this ongoing digital transformation”.

The group has also made Jim Zwiers president of its global operations group, responsible for portfolio-wide sourcing, logistics, distribution, customer service, and information technology.

Mr Zwiers has been president of Wolverine’s international group since 2014 and has spent almost 23 years in total working for the group. He will succeed Mike Jeppesen in this new role. Mr Jeppesen is to retire after more than 33 years in the footwear industry, the last nine of which have been with Wolverine World Wide.
