Techtextil and Texprocess postponed until 2022
Exhibition organiser Messe Frankfurt has announced the postponement of all of the physical trade fairs it had planned for April and May as a result of ongoing travel restrictions imposed because of covid-19. This means Techtextil and Texprocess will not go ahead as planned.
“There is currently no end to the pandemic in sight,” Messe Frankfurt said. “Events are effectively banned in Germany, and ongoing international travel restrictions mean that it is impossible to make any trade fair plans for April or May 2021.”
It said that, because an annual spring event is “essential for the trend-based order cycles” in the textile industry, postponing the events until the second half of the year “would not serve the interests of exhibitors”.
It said it was already planning digital information and content offerings for the Techtextil and Texprocess audience but insisted it will run physical events, which usually take place every two years, in the second quarter of 2022.
