Landmark deal between Decathlon and the NBA
Sporting goods retail and manufacturing group Decathlon has announced a new agreement with the National Basketball Association (NBA), under which it will become an official NBA licensee in Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
This is the first time Decathlon has entered into an agreement of this kind with any of the major North American sports leagues.
The partnership will feature a dedicated range of NBA team and league-branded baselayers, accessories and footwear (from selected brands). These products will be designed by Decathlon and sold under the group’s basketball brand, Tarmak, which it set up four years ago.
These products will go on sale exclusively Decathlon stores worldwide and online in April.
