Messe Frankfurt evens things up for Techtextil
Event organiser Messe Frankfurt has confirmed new dates for the next Techtextil and Texprocess exhibitions in Frankfurt.
These events take place every two years and had been scheduled to run in spring 2021, but the company announced in January that covid-19 meant this would not now be possible. The organiser has now confirmed that the exhibitions will now run concurrently from June 21-24, 2022.
They will continue to run every other year, with April 9-12, 2024 already confirmed as the follow-up dates. The cycle, therefore, will switch to even years.
Messe Frankfurt vice-president for textile events, Olaf Schmidt, said he was pleased to be able to confirm new dates soon after the 2021 cancellation. He explained that a “biennial event cycle” for the two fairs had proved to be in the best interests of the sector. “We have decided to maintain this rhythm,” he said.
