Elevate joins SAC
Elevate Textiles has joined the Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC), adding its American & Efird, Burlington, Cone Denim, Gütermann and Safety Components brands to the more than 250 companies and organisations that are already members.
Chief sustainability officer, Jimmy Summers, said he was pleased to add the SAC to the industry initiatives that the group takes part in. He said joining the SAC signalled further commitment on the part of Elevate to implementing the Higg suite of tools in its supply chain and to being part of “further developments and expansion of the use of the tools in the industry”.
The Higg Index is intended as a suite of tools for measuring brands’s performance in sustainability performance and for driving supply chain transparency.
