Cotton Australia corrects myths at open-house event
Cotton Australia has said an open-house event that it held in Brisbane at the start of June gave it an opportunity to answer and misconceptions and correct and clarify myths about cotton farming and production.
Farmers and senior people from the Cotton Australia team met environmental groups and political stakeholders at the event. There were presentations about the industry and then a question-and-answer session.
Speakers included Mitchell, Linton and Alan Brimblecombe, who represented three generations of cotton growers from a farm in Lockyer Valley, about 100 kilometres west of Brisbane.
