Wood-based specialty fibres producer Lenzing has announced it will invest £20 million in a new wastewater treatment plant at its lyocell production site in Grimsby, UK.

Construction will start this year. Lenzing said the project represented a milestone on the path to targeted reduction of wastewater emissions across the whole group.

Director of operations at the Grimsby factory, Phil Munson, said: “This is a huge step forward in delivering the overall Lenzing strategic goals and a milestone in our long-term plan to give the Grimsby site a solid platform for sustainable growth.”
