US brand uses tree planting scheme to reach ‘carbon neutrality’
Footwear brand Twisted X says it has reached net-zero emissions a year earlier than planned, after assessing emissions from its headquarters in Texas, contract factories in Mexico and Asia, and distribution warehouse in Texas.

The emission were balanced with a carbon offset conservation project as part of the company's partnership with One Tree Planted.

Prasad Reddy, CEO of Twisted X, said: "We are proud to officially be a carbon-neutral company after years of hard work and dedication toward creating footwear that is also protecting our planet.”

Recent launches include Zero-X, a no-glue shoe collection, as well as Blend85, footbeds that use 85% recycled foam from factory waste. One tree is also planted for each pair purchased from its ecoTWX and Zero-X collections.

Twisted X has used natural materials, including sugar cane molasses, rice husk, cork and merino wool, for its ranges. Shoeboxes are made from 85% recycled materials.

Twisted X Global Brands includes Twisted X, Twisted X Work, Black Star Boots, CellSole and licensed brand Wrangler Footwear.
