Zara to launch new sports clothing range
Fashion retail group Inditex is to launch a new sports clothing line as part of the Zara Man range.
The new range, called Athleticz, will be available online and in Zara stores from September 30. Inditex has said simplicity, comfort and functionality will be the key attributes of the garments it offers under this label, but it said these would be suitable for all sports.
Inditex announced the launch of Athleticz during the presentation of its results for the first half of its current financial year, the six months ending July 31. The group achieved revenues of just under €12 billion, up by 49% compared to the same period in 2020.
It also pointed out that sales for the first six weeks of the second half were up by 22% compared to the same period in 2020 and by 9% compared to 2019.
