International organisation the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has officially validated new targets for greenhouse gas emissions that performance materials group Teijin has set itself. It confirmed that Teijin’s targets are science-based.

Teijin’s goals include reducing internal CO2 emissions by 30% by 2030 (compared to 2018 levels).

The company claims to be the first in its sector in Japan to achieve this recognition from SBTi.
