A Peru-based baselayer and gymwear brand, Koketa, has begun using Acteev Protect fabric from Ascend Performance Materials in its collections.

Acteev will provide odour-fighting and mildew-destroying antimicrobial benefits, Ascend has said. The fabric’s functionality is based on zinc ions embedded into the nylon yarns used in its construction.

Koketa’s commercial director, Juan Daniel Del Carpio, said the brand’s aim was to supply women with activewear that offers beauty, comfort and protection.

He said the brand’s use of Acteev, combined with its incorporation of signature knit patterns, on-trend colours and flattering silhouettes, made this “easier than ever”.
