London trade show goes ‘niche’

Dedicated apparel and accessories sourcing event FSVP (formerly Fashion SVP) is set to take place at the Truman Brewery in east London on April 13 with a focus on knits, jersey fabrics and casualwear from more than 40 international producers.

Organisers of the event said that it intends to spotlight responsible, ethical and sustainable sourcing throughout, as well as accommodate the more time-sensitive needs of its visitors, who it suggested can no longer spend whole days at trade shows or attend events that are not completely relevant to their buying post-pandemic.

“Following feedback from our visitors, we understand broad-brush events are no longer effective - niche and specific solutions are now required,” event director, Rhonda Dearsley, commented.

The new programme also offers an expanded introduction and matching service, whereby “high-profile” visitors will be paired with between three and six “top-end” manufacturers, specific to their sourcing needs.
