Non-core ideas will be the focus of new Haglöfs division
Swedish outdoor brand Haglöfs has set up a new business division, calling it New Ventures. It will aim to use this new part of the business to bring to life ideas and business models that fall outside its core business. It said a recently launched second-hand initiative, Haglöfs Restored, was a good example of this.
It has recruited Sara Lindqvist to head up its New Ventures division and to lead a number of what it called “cross-funtional improvement projects”.
Ms Lindqvist joins from retail group ICA, where she was a senior project leader for strategy and business development. She previously worked as a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
