Business award for Archroma Peru
Textile chemicals group Archroma has won an important business award in Peru.
Its team in the South American country has won a gold medal from business improvement organisation AOTS, the Association for Overseas Technical Cooperation and Sustainable Partnerships.
AOTS Peru runs a competition every year to recognise top performers in the 5S Kaizen programme, a workplace organisation method that focuses on five themes beginning with the letter ‘s’.
In Japanese these are seiri, seiton, seiss, seiketsu and shitsuke, which translate as as sort, set in order, shine, standardise, and sustain.
In AOTS rankings, the maximum achievable points total is 1,000. In the most recent edition of the National 5S Kaizen Awards, Archroma Peru achieved 993, taking first place.
