New head of Decathlon’s business in France
Sports product manufacturer and retailer Decathlon has named Bastien Grandgeorge as the new director general of the business in its home country, France.
He succeeds Arnaud Gauquelin and Fabrice Lisardi, who had shared the role up until now. They will both have new roles in the company.
Decathlon said Bastien Grandgeorge, a keen triathlete, had joined the company as an intern in 2002 and had worked in roles in France for the next ten years before becoming involved in the group’s international expansion.
He worked for the company in the Czech Republic and Slovakia from 2012 until 2014 and went from there to roles in Asia, before returning to Europe to take up a post with Decathlon in Ireland from 2017 until now.
