Radici aims to be ‘circular economy enabler’
Polymer and yarn manufacturer Radici has published a new sustainability report. For the first time, this new report takes into account all of the companies that make up the group, including sales and service companies.
This means the data the report presents is from more than 30 Radici sites in Asia, the Americas and Europe. This data reflects the economic, social and environmental performance of all of these facilities.
Between 2011 and 2021, total emissions per tonne of product Radici produces reduced by 60%, the report says, and its use of renewable energy has increased to represent 51.7% of all the energy it consumes.
In 2021, Radici invested €3.1 million in energy efficiency and emissions abatement projects.
Group president, Angelo Radici, said: “From the viewpoint of achieving less environmental impact in the future, we want to be an enabler and facilitator for our stakeholders on themes such as the circular economy, where we see ourselves as protagonists in ecodesign and recycling, as well as innovation, which we put at the service of anyone who is processing and using our products.”
