Helmet collection honours Kenyan cyclist
Cycling and snow sports safety helmet brand POC has announced a limited-edition of helmets that it has designed in partnership with Team Amani, an initiative that seeks to enhance inclusivity in cycling and to create opportunities for riders based in Africa.
Sales of the products in the collection will go towards supporting increased access to cycling and racing in East Africa and on the international stage.
POC explained that Team Amani was still coming to terms with the loss of its captain, Sule Kangangi; the Kenyan rider suffered a fatal accident in a race in the US in August.
It said Sule Kangangi had played a key role in designing the collection and was enthusiastic about sharing it with the world.
The collection is made up of Ventral Air helmets and Aspire eyewear and went on sale online on September 15.
