AG2R Citroën riders road-test Isko Blue Skin in Tuscany
Turkey-based denim producer Isko has revealed that fabrics based on its patented four-way stretch, 360-degree elasticity Blue Skin yarn technology have made the cut at Italian sportswear manufacturer Rosti, which selected them for use in “the first denim bike pant ever”, its Roster Cycling Bib Jeans.
Other typical Blue Skin properties like “total freedom of movement”, adaptive support and a soft hand-feel were mentioned by Isko among several reasons, including moisture management, its fabric technology could help “improve the cycling experience”.
The shorts do contain some recycled material in the blend, the producer added, without revealing the exact composition of the denim. They have already been worn by AG2R Citroën team riders, for whom Rosti is a supplier, during Tuscan road bicycle race Strade Bianche, the seventeenth edition of which took place in March.
“We are thrilled to have our denim be part of such an engaging sport,” commented Isko’s national sales manager for the Italian market, Gabriele Carrozzo.
“This speaks to the versatility of this fabric and how denim innovations and applications are truly endless.”
