Squatwolf looks to TDry for ‘sustainable innovation’

Dubai activewear label Squatwolf has become the latest to incorporate NexTex Innovations’ TDry-branded fabric technologies in its ranges, from performance tops and sports bras to shorts and leggings, all part of its spring-summer Lab360° line.

First introduced at trade fair Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Salt Lake City in January, Atlanta-based NexTex's patent pending TDry portfolio includes, but is not limited to, TurboWick, TurboWarm and TurboDry.

The proprietary constructions are suitable for both synthetic and natural-fibre blends and rely on specially selected yarns and in-house processing techniques. Inspired by capillary-driven tree root systems, they are engineered to move moisture from the skin to the fabric exterior, keeping the wearer dry.

“TDry outperforms traditional sweat-wicking fabrics in terms of better moisture management and faster drying rate,” commented Squatwolf co-founder and chief executive, Wajdan Gul, who framed the technology as an eco-friendlier alternative to conventional moisture-movement alternatives like wicking chemistries.

“Sustainable innovation is a big part of Squatwolf’s ideology," he added. "This marks a major achievement."
