Helmet headway for POC
Snow sports and outdoor equipment brand POC has released two new helmets, the Omne Lite and the Omne Ultra.
It describes the first of these as a new lightweight, performance-driven cycling helmet for riders whose main focus is low weight and comfort. It said the Omne Ultra is a helmet “designed for adventure”, a versatile piece of equipment that will protect riders “beyond paved roads”.
Chief product officer, Oscar Huss, said: “To deliver on our safety mission our helmets are all developed with our ‘whole helmet’ safety concept at the centre of our design process; using optimised materials and design throughout the helmet.”
Both products have a lightweight expanded polystyrene liner, a minimal polycarbonate shell to provide strength while keeping weight low.
