Leadership changes at Spanx

03/10/2022

Shapewear and activewear brand Spanx has announced a change in leadership. Kim Jones has taken over as chief executive from the brand’s founder, Sara Blakely. Ms Jones has worked at Spanx for 15 years and was, most recently, company president and chief finance officer.

In other changes, Caroline Whitton will take up the role of company president and will continue in her role as chief growth officer, and Misha Nonoo has joined Spanx as chief brand officer, arriving from running her own ready-to-wear clothing brand.

Martin Elliott will be its new chief finance officer, joining the brand from toy manufacturer MGA Entertainment, and Coco Lu has been appointed as its chief people officer; she joins from Coca-Cola.
These changes come just under a year after investment firm Blackstone acquired a majority stake in Spanx.

On announcing the new appointments, Sara Blakely said she was thrilled and excited about the growth she thinks lies ahead for Spanx.
