SCTI welcomes three-way partnership on textile chemicals data
The Sustainable Chemistry for the Textile Industry (SCTI) alliance has welcomed the announcement at the end of October that three organisations, Higg, ZDHC and Bluesign, will try to bring into effect more advanced integration of data relating to chemical use in the textile industry.
Reacting to this, SCTI chairman, Dr Wolfgang Anton Schumann, said: “The partnership between Higg, Bluesign and ZDHC is a significant milestone for the textile supply chain. SCTI would like to congratulate the partners and reiterate our support for initiatives that unite the textile industry to build a sustainable future together.”
He said the partnership was an example of “the great strides that the textile industry is making in recognizing the importance and value of sustainable chemistry, and also in taking action to scale solutions that advance sustainability at pace.”
