Zero waste at the heart of new Schoeller Textil brand strategy
Textile innovations specialist Schoeller Textil has said ‘zero textile waste’ is now a targeted brand strategy, following a rebranding exercise it announced at the start of November.
While the production of textiles and textile technologies is “continuously being optimised to preserve resources”, it said, manufacturing processes are often costly and complex. It said it would now offer a new approach to efforts around zero waste in the industry.
As part of this, it has a new online shop called Schoeller re-Fabric, which will sell textile remnants from its production directly to designers and smaller manufacturers. It said this will increase its production volume efficiency and avoid textile waste.
