Finnish outdoor brand Halti has unveiled the first product it has made using Spinnova fibre. The garment is a water-resistant, windproof parka; it is made from cotton as well as Spinnova. 

Halti chief executive, Aki Kuusilehto, said the brand has “extremely high criteria” when it comes to choosing materials, insisting on recyclability and sustainability. “But the materials we use must withstand wear and tear, protecting users from wind and horizontal rain,” he insisted. He said he also found it fascinating to use new materials and learn how they work in practice.

Cyclus is the name it has given to the parka. It will be available for purchase in spring 2023 as part of a collection called Kallio.
