Solar energy installation complete for Freudenberg in China
Performance materials developer Freudenberg has completed the installation of photovoltaic panels covering 13,000 square-metres on the roof of the factory it runs in Nantong, China.
It said that, in addition to this green energy initiative at the plant, it is taking steps to mitigate remaining emissions. The group has committed to reducing its carbon emissions by 25% by 2025.
The rooftop installation at Nantong will have the capacity to produce 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of energy per year and will lower emissions by approximately 1,200 tonnes of CO2-equivalent per year.
