Elite-level bounce for everyday runners claim for new ASICS shoe
Athletic footwear brand ASICS has launched a new performance running show called Superblast, part of its Blast range. It described this latest version as being “super bouncy” owing to its use of foam technologies.
It contains a proprietary foam called FF Blast Turbo in the midsole. To date this technology has only been used on the brand’s fastest running shoe, the Metaspeed, which many high-level distance athletes are using.
According to the brand, the Superblast shoe is more for everyday training runs. But it added that it would work well for “eager runners who want the thrill and excitement of the high energy-return enjoyed by elite athletes, turning their everyday run into an extraordinary experience”.
Other features of the shoe include an asymmetric mesh upper. Composed with specially created engineered mesh rendered with a two-toned colour palette, it creates “aesthetically intriguing patterns for visual playfulness”, ASICS said.
