Lower-impact fibres dominate for Royal Robbins

10/02/2023

Outdoor lifestyle apparel brand Royal Robbins has said more than 60% of the products in its spring 2023 collection are made with materials that contain 50% or more lower-impact fibres. It said these fibres include preferred cotton, recycled polyester, certified forest materials, hemp, and preferred wool.

It said that it had taken steps to reduce the carbon footprint of its best-selling men’s shirt series by switching to Tencel fibres. The San Francisco-based brand explained its choice by saying the Tencel was certified as carbon-neutral by provider of carbon consulting and carbon offsetting services Natural Capital Partners.
