Membrane technology developer eVent has used the first-quarter schedule of industry events to showcase a new product, Bio, that contains bio-based material.

It said castor beans provided the renewable material component in Bio’s construction and that the product was still able to provide all-weather protection and performance.

It described the Bio membrane as light, tough and flexible, with a reduced carbon footprint and recyclability when garments reach the end of their lifecycle.
