Designer Yohji Yamamoto has renewed a relationship he began with adidas more than 20 years ago, accepting the challenge of developing a personalised version of the brand's Stan Smith shoes.

Adidas said it had wanted to bring "the legendary designer to one of its most recognisable icons".

There are two colour iterations. The first features a matte black outsole, a white leather upper and a black tongue, while the second is all black except for a white tongue. Both have a portrait of Yohji Yamamoto on the tongue and his signature on the heel.
