Swarovski lends sparkle to Puma's 75-year celebrations
Germany-based athletic shoe company Puma has again joined hands with Swarovski Creators Lab to launch a bedazzled version of its Puma Suede trainer, first released in 1968.
Making their debut alongside a similarly encrusted black hoodie, the $550 shoes feature rows of carefully placed green gems, all cut “to catch the light with every step”.
Designed to mark the 75 years since the sports brand’s founding by Rudolf Dassler in 1948, each shoe’s sock liner is also emblazoned with a specially designed anniversary logo.
Puma welcomed Javier Ortega to the team as its new general manager for Europe last month.
