Performance Days' debut shoe talk to cover 'ReGenAg' leather
Category manager for children’s shoe brand Reima, Rucky Zambrano, is to moderate functional fabrics trade event Performance Days’ “very first” footwear panel, organisers have announced.
This next edition of the two-day show, taking place in Munich between October 4 and 5, marks the inaugural outing for approved shoe materials suppliers as exhibitors.
The roundtable will tackle the topic of regenerative or “ReGenAg" leather to consider whether hides generated as a by-product of regenerative agricultural practices have a future in footwear, or if “something else” might already be on the horizon. Panellists include Thomas Heinen of Lederfabrik Josef Heinen; global sustainability director at Vibram, Marco Guazzoni; Bluesign customer relationship manager Marco Volpi; and FILK's Dr Michael Meyer.
