Austrian shoe business Giesswein has presented a new line of "organic" casual trainers, made using ISA Next-Gen Material (ISA)'s flagship HyphaLite material for the uppers.

Plant-based HyphaLite is produced from a combination of natural latex, FSC-certified regenerated cellulose fibres and repurposed mushrooms.

ISA chief executive, Uwe Hutzler, said: “We are proud to partner with Giesswein for its Organic Sneaker collection. We believe it is crucial for material developers like us to support brands to educate consumers about the materials used in their products and the environmental impact they have. By providing scientific-based information and comprehensive marketing support, we are able to further empower brands.”
